3 Ways Your Money Blocks Are Killing Your Business

Money Block #1: Burnout and overwhelm.

Now, the first way that money blocks might be killing your business is through burnout and overwhelm. It’s really sad when women contact me and say that they’re ready to chuck their business in altogether because they’re working so much in trying to help so many people but they just can’t afford to keep it going, they’re feeling stressed out, resentful and completely burnt-out.

Now, when you deal with your money blocks and allow yourself to charge beautifully for what you do and to make money, it actually gives you more emotional and physical and mental bandwidth to create a whole bunch more stuff that can help a lot more people.

Let me give you an example. When I was doing a lot of one to one coaching and I wasn’t charging enough for it, I was just feeling so burnt-out and overwhelmed. I would have session after session after session, sometimes I wouldn’t have time to even go to the bathroom between clients and I was feeling so stressed out.

I wasn’t sleeping well, I was worried about money all the time. Honestly, I just wasn’t fun to be around. That’s when I was more of a bitch than the Lucky Bitch.

If this is you, it’s really time to deal with your money blocks and to get over feeling like you can’t charge beautifully for what you do or you feel bad about charging people altogether.

Now, with my course, my Lucky Bitch Money Bootcamp, I get people contacting me all the time saying, “Denise, I’m desperate, I need to do your money course, you know, I really need to work on my money stuff but I can’t afford to do it.”

Now, I used to feel terrible about that but all of these requests just made me feel really, really horrible and burnt-out.

So, I took some time away from doing that one to one work and I wrote a book about money. Now, if someone contacts me and they can’t afford to do my course, I can send them my money book. Now that took time and energy and money to create that book.

If you charge beautifully for what you do, you will have time to create some of those lower cost products for people who really, really need you. And then you don’t have to feel like you have to help everybody individually.

Money Block #2: Attracting the wrong kind of client.

So, the second way that your money blocks might be killing your business is that you might be attracting the wrong kind of client. In fact you might be attracting the kind of client who completely stresses you out.

Now, we’ve all been there where we felt desperate for money and we’ve taken on a client that we knew that we shouldn’t have. Maybe it’s somebody who is kind of a bit of a pain in the butt. Maybe you’ve worked with them before and they just cannot be happy ever with what you do. Maybe you’re taking on work that’s really not in your zone of genius because you need the money.

So again, when you charge beautifully for what you do, you attract the right kind of clients. You attract people who really respect your time and energy and are genuinely much easier to work with.

So you can see how getting the wrong clients can really kill your business because again sometimes you feel like you want to quit when you’re working with people who are pains in the butt.

Money Block #3: Not leading the life you’re meant to lead.

Now, the third way that your money blocks are killing your business right now and this is the biggie, when you stress out about money and when you’re not receiving money for what you do, you’re really not leading the life that you’re meant to lead.

You’re really not creating the life of freedom, adventure and abundance that you are meant to lead and that’s the saddest thing of all. It really is, I think, a moral imperative for entrepreneurial women to make good money because we spend it in beautiful ways. We spend it with other female entrepreneurs and in turn that money can create amazing things in the world.

Women spend money on things differently than guys and honestly who do you want to have money in the world, greedy bankers or amazing entrepreneurs like you and I who do great things in the world?

It’s really up to you gorgeous. So there are the three ways that your money blocks are killing your business right now.
